ARCADIA, CA (November 16, 2025) – 1/ST, the innovative brand redefining Thoroughbred horse racing and equestrian sport, entertainment, and lifestyle experiences, in partnership with the prestigious Split Rock Jumping Tour, wrapped up a successful first week of show jumping competition with two top events and masterful riding: the $125,000 CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix followed by the $10,000 Chubb Insurance 1.35m Jumper Challenge.

Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and his 9-year-old gelding, Gadget Mouche, added another Grand Prix victory to their resume with a win in the $125,000 CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix. Foot speed and finesse from Philippaerts and his mount stopped the clocks at a quick 36.01, followed by Luis Sabino Gonclaves (POR) aboard Scoop De Septon Z who tripped the timers at 38.77. Peter Petschenig (AUT) and Ennebel Van Het Posthuijs rounded out the podium with a third-place finish in 39.39.

“He (Gadget Mouche) jumped the last two Grand Prix’s and won them. He is such a nice horse to ride with fantastic character,” said Philippaerts. “I couldn’t be happier.”

The Belgium continued their winning ways today, with David Sterckx (BEL) and Episode De Vains taking home top prize in the $10,000 Chubb Insurance 1.35m Jumper Challenge. USA’s Callie Schott continued her hot streak with a second-place finish aboard Diamond Touch, and Lane Clark (AUS) captured third prize riding Montreal GBL.

“I am lucky to ride this horse of my student (Episode De Vains). I placed in every class this week, and the footing was amazing even with all the rain,” said Sterckx. “It’s a beautiful show, and thank you, Chubb Insurance, for supporting the sport. I am very happy I won the class!”

To end the week, in a nod to Santa Anita’s racing history, the $2,000 Carma and Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) Thoroughbred High Point Award sponsored by 1/ST, Carma and TAA was presented to Good Boy Roy. He was ridden by Tammy Chipko and Lillian Cole in the .85m jumpers.

Other highlights from today’s competition include the $4,000 Standlee NAL 1.20m JR/AM Final, won by Reagan Mientka (USA) and Cecile Beauty; the $4,000 1.30m NAL JR/AM Final, with Molly Talla (USA) capturing a one–two finish aboard Hirado Blue and LCC Yankie; and the $5,500 Horseflight 1.40m JR/AM Final, won by Declan Talla (USA) on Grand Blanc De Villa D’Arto.

Competition begins again on Wednesday, November 19th, with the Santa Anita CSI5* featuring more elite athletes, including World #1 Kent Farrington, multi-Olympic Medalists McLain Ward and Laura Kraut, and Tokyo Team Silver Medalist Jessica Springsteen.
