World-Class Show Jumping at Santa Anita CSI5*-W Comes to a Close With a Beautiful Sunday Brunch and the $50,000 Saint Enzo 1.45M National Grand Prix
World #8, Laura Kraut (USA) Takes the Win Aboard Una Mariposa with a Jump-off time of 37.417. Avery Griffin and Oh My Star Van Strytem (USA) were Close Behind, Finishing in Second in a Time of 37.733. Peter Petschenig (AUT) and Hocus Pocus 111 Z Captured Third, Stopping the Clock at 39.343

“I was here last year and absolutely loved the event. We made it a point to come back, and it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful facility, and I am very excited the Olympics are here,” said Laura Kraut. “I’ve had her (Una Mariposa) since she was six, and I’ve always known she was very, very talented. This is her first Grand Prix win. We had to take her time through some of the rough patches, but I am very proud of her.”
Seventeen-Year-Old Tony Stormanns (GER) and Surprise Storm to Victory in the $20,000 Chubb Insurance 1.35M Jumper Challenge, Besting a Field of Forty-Six Juniors, Amateurs and Professionals

“Surprise is the fastest horse I have of the four I am showing here. Her master class would have been this (1.35m Jumper Challenge) class, and to my luck, the plan went off – good course building by the course builder and good show. We’ve had Surprise since she was a foal – always been the fighter, always the fastest. She could also take on the class by herself! She’s basically a one-man army even though she’s not the tallest,” shared Tony Stormanns. “It’s been cool being on this (Santa Anita) racetrack, knowing that we’ve had the Olympics here before and we will have them again here in three years. It was pretty exciting.”
The weekend’s other featured classes included:
· $5,000 NAL 1.30M JR/AM Final won by Nirvana Hank Amaya (MEX) & Manna Hacal
